		<description>Not only is this becoming a pretty prevalent view of teaching pedagogy, it is becoming (some would argue, already has become) the basis of working pedagogy, too. That is to say, most people (especially those in the knowledge-based industries like software) know the specifics of only what they use, but their chosen field and working set of tools is so large, that a huge part of their job necessitates having the skills described in this post being well-honed. P.S. Welcome to your new job. ;)</description>
